Two years ago, Jerome Palayo of developer/builder Sunia Homes and his wife bought a little 2+1 at 915 Rosemont Avenue in Echo Park. Rather than sink even more money into the extensive repairs and updates the existing house would require, the Palayos chose to tear it down and start from scratch, and the result is one of the greenest homes we’ve ever seen!
Jerome has a background in architecture and saw a need for a home that was made with recyclable, sustainable materials and thoughtful design. Now that he has built his dream home, Jerome’s intention is to bring other homes like it to Echo Park, Silver Lake and other urban areas.

While the Palayos’ house isn’t on the market yet, we’ve planned this event both to showcase their creativity and to offer a real, green alternative to buyers, investors and realtors.
